Baby Blessings, Christenings & Namings
If you are reading this page, you may be expecting a child or you may already have been blessed with the arrival of your baby. Congratulations to you and your family!! Welcoming a child into your family is one of the most wonderful events hat you will ever experience in your lifetime. As an Ordained Interfaith Minister. I can design a special heart-warming ceremony that welcomes your baby into your family while also blessing and naming the child.
If you and your spouse are of different religions I beautifully weave your different customs together to create a special and memorable ceremony.
If you do not follow any one religion, I can create a very spiritual , non-denominational loving ceremony.
If you are the same religion and would like the baby to be baptised, I can perform a baptism at your home or party venue.
It is so important to me that we get to know each other so that the ceremony reflects the warmth of our friendship. If it is your wish, I create a ceremony where the family members(immediate and extended) are involved, all holding hands as I bless and name the baby. (the picture above is an example). There is usually not one dry eye in the house!
If you are expecting your child soon, please call so that we can meet beforehand and plan the ceremony. After the baby is born, we can choose the most convenient date.

Dear Reverend Alison,
On April 13, 2004, my husband Matt and I were blessed with a beautiful, wonderful gift, our precious daughter Giana. As Giana's first birthday approached I knew that I wanted to celebrate her first year but I also wanted to have a naming for her. She would be named for many wonderful people and it was to be a huge celebration. I went on the web looking for someone who understood and knew the Jewish naming tradition but that could also keep the ceremony simple. I found your website, called and left a message.
You called back and I remember being comfortable as soon as we spoke. You asked a series of questions and I answered them all. And then the day came, and you gave the most wonderful, beautiful, heartfelt ceremony anyone could ever have.
It was as if you knew us our entire lives. Arranging a circle made of family members around us and the baby was amazing. There wasn't a dry eye in the house, and I was speechless, I truly could not speak. To this day people still remember and talk about the ceremony you gave us. Now seventeen months later, my very good friend Eileen was getting married. Eileen was at Giana's celebration; she remembered you and asked for your contact information. And at this wedding celebration Giana would be the flower girl. When Giana saw you it seemed as if she remembered, she went right to you, as if being drawn to you.
Anyone who is lucky enough to find you will forever have a special, wonderful day to remember always. Now I have two. Fondly, The Porter's Jill, Matt and Giana
